About this song: Mr Brightside

"Mr. Brightside" is a song performed by Las Vegas-based rock band The Killers. The song is featured on the group's debut album Hot Fuss. The song was written by lead vocalist Brandon Flowers and guitarist Dave Keuning and was one of the first songs written by the band, originating from a cassette given to Flowers by Keuning, to which Flowers penned the lyrics. The song was written about Flowers' ex-girlfriend who was cheating on him. Flowers has stated on the band's website that the song is about a man in a love triangle with a whore.
