It reached number twelve in the UK Singles Chart in August 1964., number two in the Billboard Hot 100 (USA), and #2 in Canada. Rolling Stone magazine ranked "She's Not There" #291 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. One of the song's most distinctive features is Argent's electric piano sound which was rare at the time.
