A baritone chordA G baritone chordG
I've heard it said
D baritone chordD G baritone chordG
That people come into our lives for a reason
D baritone chordD A baritone chordA
Bringing something we must learn
G baritone chordG
And we are led to those
D baritone chordD
who help us most to grow
C baritone chordC
If we let them
G baritone chordG A baritone chordA
And we help them in return
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD A baritone chordA D baritone chordD
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
Am baritone chordAm C baritone chordC
But I know I'm who I am today
G baritone chordG A baritone chordA
Because I knew you...

G baritone chordG D baritone chordD

Like a comet pulled from orbit
C baritone chordC A baritone chordA
As it passes a sun
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
Like a stream that meets a boulder
C baritone chordC A baritone chordA
Halfway through the wood
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD C baritone chordC Em baritone chordEm
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
But because I knew you
G baritone chordG A baritone chordA D baritone chordD
I have been changed for good
G baritone chordG
It well may be
D baritone chordD
That we will never meet again
G baritone chordG
In this lifetime
D baritone chordD A baritone chordA
So let me say before we part
G baritone chordG
So much of me is made
D baritone chordD
of what I learned from you
C baritone chordC
You'll be with me
D baritone chordD A baritone chordA
Like a handprint on my heart
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD A baritone chordA D baritone chordD
And now whatever way our stories end
Am baritone chordAm C baritone chordC
I know you have re-written mine
G baritone chordG A baritone chordA
By being my friend...
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
Like a ship blown from its mooring
C baritone chordC A baritone chordA
By a wind off the sea
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
Like a seed dropped by a skybird
C baritone chordC A baritone chordA
In a distant wood
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD C baritone chordC Em baritone chordEm
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
But because I knew you
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
Because I knew you
G baritone chordG A baritone chordA D baritone chordD
I have been changed for good
Em baritone chordEm C baritone chordC
And just to clear the air
Em baritone chordEm
I ask forgiveness
C baritone chordC
For the things I've done you blame me for
A baritone chordA
But then, I guess we know
C baritone chordC
There's blame to share
Am baritone chordAm C baritone chordC
And none of it seems to matter anymore
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
Like a comet pulled from orbit
C baritone chordC A baritone chordA
As it passes a sun

G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
Like a stream that meets a boulder
C baritone chordC A baritone chordA
Halfway through the wood
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
Who can say if I've been
A baritone chordA D baritone chordD
Changed for the better?
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
I do believe I have been
A baritone chordA G baritone chordG
Changed for the better
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
And because I knew you...
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
Because I knew you...
G baritone chordG D baritone chordD
Because I knew you...
G baritone chordG A baritone chordA D baritone chordD
I have been changed for good...

"Who can say if I've been changed for the better" should be G-D-A-Bm. The rest of it sounds pretty good...Em could possibly replace the A in that part, but otherwise there's no need to use Em in the rest of the song

Hey, sorry for the late reply! It sounds a lot better when you start singing when the G comes in. So, dont play any chords for 'iv heard it' then play G on 'said'.. You can kinda just ignore the A there!
