dirt in her hair, and her clothes in rags?

Each day lasts an hour, then he wanders home alone

And have you seen the old man, outside the seaman's mission?
F F C C D7 D7 G7 G7
His memory's fading, with those medal ribbons that he wears
C C G G Am Am Em Em
And in our winter city, the rain cries little pity
F F C C G7 G7 C C
For one more forgotten hero, and a world that doesn't care

C C F F Em Em C C Am Am
So how can you tell me, you're lo - ne - ly
D7 D7 D7 D7 G G G7 G7
and say for you that the sun don't shine?
C C G G Am Am Em Em
Let me take you by the hand, and lead you through the streets of London

I'll show you something, to make you change your mind

About this song: Streets Of London

This song is about being homeless in London, and about how the world forgets about the people who are down and out, it just shows how the human race will stereotype the likes of tramps, not wondering, wether or not they have lead fulfilled lives, when actually one of the men in the song, appears to have served his country. Its not that hard to be down and out, especially in this day and age with the economy the way it is at present, and i think Ralph Mc Tell portrays the way of life very well in this song, and has a very soothing subtle tune to go with it.
