"Best Song Ever" is a song recorded by the British-Irish boy band One Direction. It was released on 22 July 2013 by Syco and Columbia. The opening of the song samples The Who's "Baba O'Riley". The song became available for pre-order on iTunes on 26 June. After being leaked, the song's audio was uploaded to VEVO on 19 July. The music video was officially released on 22 July. The music video also broke the VEVO record for having the most views in a 24-hour period with 12.3 million, beating Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" which recorded 10.
