Question

About this song: So Far Away

"So far away" is a track from the Avenged Sevenfold's 2010 album, Nightmare. The ballad was written by the band's lead guitarist, Synyster Gates, and was also Gates' first attempt at writing lyrics for an entire song. It was written as a tribute to the band's drummer The Rev, who died in the end of 2009. M. Shadows, band's singer, said the song is "very stripped down, raw and very personal" as it's supposed to feel like "one guy with one guitar, sitting there and speaking to his best friend".
