"Someone Like You" was the second single released from her multi-platinum album "21". It managed to reach #1 on the Hot 100 chart in the United States back in 2011. "Someone Like You" was nominated for and won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance at the 54th Grammy Awards, which was held on 12 February 2012. Most of 21's lyrics refer to Adele working through the ending of a relationship including this song.
