First, some of the chord switches are on the downbeat, so it's a little counter intuitive. Listen to the song and you'll see they switch at weird spots.
A palm mute is when you lay the heel of your palm over the strings LIGHTLY just in front of the bridge... it gives you a nice quiet sound.

Great tab, but the chords don't seem to be correctly lined up with the words, is that just a formatting issue? I'm not very familiar with the song so I'm having trouble anticipating the chord changes.
