Am Am Dm Dm G G
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

C C G G
And sorry I could not travel both

F F C C
And be one traveler, long I stood

Dm Dm G G
And looked down one as far as I could

Am Am Dm Dm G G Am Am
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Am Am Dm Dm G G
Then took the other, as just as fair,
C C G G
And having perhaps the better claim,

F F C C
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Dm Dm G G
Though as for that the passing there

Am Am Dm Dm G G Am Am
Had worn them really about the same,

Am Am Dm Dm G G
And both that morning equally lay

C C G G
In leaves no step had trodden black.

F F C C
Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Dm Dm G G
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

Am Am Dm Dm G G Am Am
I doubted if I should ever come back.

Am Am Dm Dm G G
I shall be telling this with a sigh

C C G G
Somewhere ages and ages hence:

F F C C
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

Dm Dm G G
I took the one less traveled by,

Am Am Dm Dm G G Am Am
And that has made all the difference.

The composer for the choral piece is Randall Thompson, his musical setting for Robert Frost’s poem. The piece was originally composed in D minor. I transpose it to A minor. And, though I placed the chords above the words where they belong, they don’t stay put, but migrate to the left.
