[Verse]
F chordF A chordA
There once was a bitter-sweet man and they called him Lemon Boy
A# chordA# Gm chordGm C chordC
He was growing in my garden and I pulled him out by his hair, like a weed
F chordF A chordA
And like weeds do he only came and grew back again
A# chordA# Gm chordGm C chordC
So I figured this time I might as well let him be

[Chorus]
A# chordA# F chordF A chordA Gm chordGm C chordC
Lemon Boy and me started to get along together
A# chordA# F chordF A chordA Gm chordGm C chordC
I'll help him plant his seeds and we'd mow the lawn in bad weather
A# chordA# F chordF A chordA Gm chordGm C chordC A# chordA#
It's actually pretty easy being nice to a bitter boy like him
C chordC F chordF
So I got myself a citrus friend

[Verse]
F chordF A chordA
But soon his bitter-sweet started to rub off on me
A# chordA# Gm chordGm C chordC
You'd think smelling like lemon zest would be pretty neat
F chordF A chordA
I found out that my friends were more of the savory type
A# chordA# Gm chordGm C chordC
And they weren't too keen with compromising with a nice lemon pie

[Chorus]
A# chordA# F chordF A chordA Gm chordGm C chordC
So Lemon Boy and me, we just got to get along together
A# chordA# F chordF A chordA Gm chordGm C chordC
I helped him plant his seeds and we'd mow the lawn in bad weather
A# chordA# F chordF A chordA Gm chordGm C chordC A# chordA#
It's actually pretty easy being nice to a bitter boy like him
C chordC F chordF
So I got myself a citrus friend

[Bridge]
F chordF A chordA
But what if I run out of fertilizer?
A# chordA# A#m chordA#m
What if the clouds run out of rain?
A# chordA# F chordF
What if Lemon Boy won't grow no longer?
A chordA A# chordA# A#m chordA#m
What if beaches dry of sugar cane? Oh well,
F chordF
The whales start to beach themselves
A chordA A# chordA#
Tortoise shells tear away from their spines
A# chordA# A#m chordA#m
It happens all the time
Gm chordGm C chordC F chordF
It happens all the time

[Instrumental]
F chordF A chordA A# chordA# A#m chordA#m Gm chordGm C chordC

[Outro]
A# chordA# F chordF A chordA Gm chordGm C chordC
Lemon Boy and I, we're gonna live forever
A# chordA# F chordF A chordA Gm chordGm C chordC
Like Snufkin and Little My, we'll get around wherever
A# chordA# F chordF A chordA Gm chordGm C chordC
Lemon Boy and I, we're gonna live forever
A# chordA# F chordF A chordA Gm chordGm C chordC
Like Snufkin and Little My, we'll get around wherever
A# chordA# F chordF A chordA Gm chordGm C chordC A# chordA#
It's actually pretty easy being nice to a bitter boy like him
C chordC A# chordA#
Cause we're the bitterest boys in town
C chordC A# chordA#
Yeah we're the bitterest guys around
C chordC F chordF
and I've got myself a citrus friend

[Instrumental]
F chordF A# chordA# Gm chordGm C chordC F chordF A# chordA# Gm chordGm C chordC F chordF

During the chorus, I use one down strum and then a chuck. I use it just to go with the lo-fi beat.

Almost perfect chords, except the Gm in the chorus should be Dm. In the verses Gm is correct.
