G baritone chordG
I still remember the look on your face,
Em baritone chordEm
Lit through the darkness at 1:58,
C baritone chordC
The words that you whispered for just us to know.
D baritone chordD
You told me you loved me so why did you go
G baritone chordG
Away?

Em baritone chordEm
Away.

C baritone chordC D baritone chordD

G baritone chordG
I do recall now the smell of the rain,
Em baritone chordEm
Fresh on the pavement. I ran off the plane.
C baritone chordC
That July 9th, the beat of your heart.
D baritone chordD
It jumps through your shirt. I can still feel your arms.

C baritone chordC
But now I'll go sit on the floor,
G baritone chordG
Wearing your clothes.
C baritone chordC
All that I know is I don't know.
D baritone chordD
How to be something you miss.

G baritone chordG Em baritone chordEm
I never thought we'd have a last kiss.
C baritone chordC Em baritone chordEm D baritone chordD
Never imagined we'd end like this.
C baritone chordC D baritone chordD
Your name forever the name on my lips.

G baritone chordG
I do remember the swing in your step.
Em baritone chordEm
The life of the party, you're showing off again.
C baritone chordC
And I roll my eyes and then you pull me in.
D baritone chordD
I'm not much for dancin', but for you I did.
G baritone chordG
Because I love your handshake, meetin' my father.
Em baritone chordEm
I love how you walk with your hands in your pockets.
C baritone chordC
How you kissed me when I was in the middle of sayin' something.
D baritone chordD
There's not a day I don't miss those rude interruptions.

C baritone chordC
And I'll go sit on the floor,
G baritone chordG
Wearing your clothes.
C baritone chordC
All that I know is I don't know
D baritone chordD
How to be something you miss.

G baritone chordG Em baritone chordEm
I never thought we'd have a last kiss.
C baritone chordC Em baritone chordEm D baritone chordD
Never imagined we'd end like this.
C baritone chordC D baritone chordD
Your name forever the name on my lips.

C baritone chordC D baritone chordD
Oo-oo-ooh.

G baritone chordG Em baritone chordEm
So I'll watch your life in pictures
C baritone chordC
Like I used to watch you sleep
D baritone chordD
And I'll feel you forget me
G baritone chordG
Like I used to feel you breathe
Em baritone chordEm
And I'll keep up with our old friends
C baritone chordC
Just to ask them how you are.
D baritone chordD
Hope it's nice where you are.

C baritone chordC
And I hope the sun shines and it's a beautiful day
G baritone chordG
And something reminds you, you wish you had stayed.
C baritone chordC
You can plan for a change in the weather in town,
D baritone chordD
but I never planned on you changing your mind.

C baritone chordC
So I'll go sit on the floor,
G baritone chordG
Wearing your clothes.
C baritone chordC
All that I know is I don't know
D baritone chordD
How to be something you miss.

G baritone chordG Em baritone chordEm
I never thought we'd have a last kiss.
C baritone chordC Em baritone chordEm D baritone chordD
Never imagined we'd end like this.
C baritone chordC D baritone chordD
Your name forever the name on my lips.
G baritone chordG
Just like our last kiss.
Em baritone chordEm
Forever the name on my lips.
C baritone chordC D baritone chordD
Forever the name on my lips.
G baritone chordG
Just like our last.

About this song: Last Kiss

Taylor Swift explains the story behind "Last Kiss" on her official website: "The song "Last Kiss" is sort of like a letter to somebody. You say all of these desperate, hopeless feelings that you have after a breakup. Going through a breakup you feel all of these different things. You feel anger, and you feel confusion, and frustration. Then there is the absolute sadness. The sadness of losing this person, losing all the memories, and the hopes you had for the future. There are times when you have this moment of truth where you just admit to yourself that you miss all these things.
