This road I'm on is so unexpected

I've done so much within these few years

It's almost unreal how many goals I've finished

And how many dreams have overcame my fears

Here I stand, a recollection of my past

I worry how long this happiness will last

I've ended up turning into someone I thought I'd never be

Will I end up somewhere away from here and free?

I'm different than I was before

Change just comes sporadically

I'm growing up and experiencing so much more

This new person is someone we now see

This new life is something I would've never dreamed of

I've grown an individual, risen up above

It's good to think back, and try and remember

That fire once inside of me is now a dim ember

It's okay to cry, looking back is hard

Recollection of who you were to who you are

As I begin to remember, I miss the old me

Who am I and if I'll ever find the key

I never recognized who I used to be

Did anyone even know the person they used to see

But if I never changed, would I be here today?

So it seems to me that change is okay
