Marco Carta participated and won the first prize in the Italian talent show Amici di Maria de Filippi' from october 2007 to April 2008. On February 22, 2009 he won the first price at the prestigious music Festival of Sanremo with the song La Forza Mia.Before becoming a singer, he was working as a hairdresser in Cagliari.
