If you're a beginner, or have smaller hands like me, this tip is perfect for you. The E chord is a horror for most uke players, even more experienced players. 


Instead of play the E chord like this:






Try barring the G, C, and E strings on the 4th fret and resting your finger on the A string so it's muted. 

This isn't especially helpful for fingerpicking, but it is easier for strumming songs.
