Stock strings?

I was talking with someone the other day, and she decided to play around with my ukulele. It's my first one and I only got it for christmas while she's had hers for a while and is a music major. She immediately called my strings bad because I had "stock strings." I was wondering what those were and if you guys knew places that sold good strings?

    Welcome to UT!

There is two places that I recommend.

    1st is Musician's Friend: www.musiciansfriend.com/ukulele-strings
Remember, like most sites.. there is a drop down "list" to choose prices from "Low to High"
I personally like GHS Hawaiian strings (in the blue / white pack).
Some people like high end synthetic ""nygut"strings like "Aquila".
Remember it is a personal choice.. you will find strings that "you" like the feel and over all sound from your Uke.

Another place to look price wise.. is Amazon.com

  3. Thank you very much for the warm welcome as well as the information! I will check on those sites! I think I might try the strings you suggested as your favorite because why not? Hopefully I fall in love!
