Looking for some ukulele techniques to practice?

  1. 5 years ago

I've only been playing for half a year, and I know how to chuck and fingerpick (I know how to strum too, obviously). Those two seem to be some of the most common ukulele techniques for playing, but is there anything else you could reccommend that I learn?

  2. Hi,

have you tried slashed chords, palm muting / muting with your left hand, hammer-ons, pull-offs?

When you are done with all this... only one important thing that is missing: THIS

Further you can try to play the bass line and the melody - tough stuff - but really cool... tried some when I tried to play some ragtime blues on the guitar (:

    Kind Regards

  3. Look for the book "Ukulele Aerobics" http://www.amazon.com/Ukulele-Aerobics-Levels-Beginner-Advanced/dp/147681306X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1396482766&sr=1-1&keywords=ukulele+aerobics It has some fantastic techniques in there for learning to play better.

  4. Thanks a ton, i'll be occupied for a while now.
