This is hardly conventional, but I'd like to impart some advice on how to read a simple tablature. To begin, what is a tablature? A tablature (or tab) is a special way of writing music for stringed instraments such as guitar or ukulele. 

Now, the very first tab I ever learned was "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." The tab would have looked something like this...

Something like this can look kind of intimidating to a beginner, but after you break it down, it's a piece of cake!

The letters along the left-hand side are the string names. Sorry to all you other ukulele players out there, I only have a soprano. When one of the strings has a number on it, the number represents a fret. 0 means no fret, 1 means 1, 2 means 2, and on and on. After your comfortable with the rhythm (I haven't included one) you can start to speed it up.
