"The First Single (Cause A chordA Scene)"
Interventions + Lullabies

This is how to play the album version of The Format's "The First Single";
this is exactly how the song is played live, as well. There is no need for
a capo. This is how I play the song, also, so I wrote the tab out and
then played it again just to make sure it sounds good -- it does.

I included all chords/lyrics, because the verses and choruses don't play out
exactly the same each time, and when I'm learning a song, I don't like to
read a lazy tab. Enjoy, this song is not difficult for a beginner to learn.

(Note, you'll easily be able to tell if your guitar is in tune with this
song's intro: the fifth fret on B chordB and the open E chordE note should ring in
harmony, obviously.)

Well do you want to fall apart? I can't stop if you cant start
C#m chordC#m A chordA E chordE C#m chordC#m

A chordA E chordE
try to fix what I've undone 'Cause I hate what I've become!

[Chorus]

A chordA C#m chordC#m B chordB
I've been waiting all this time to be, something I can't define

C#m chordC#m B chordB C#m chordC#m A chordA E chordE
Yeah something, I've just got to get myself over me

[Verse]
C#m chordC#m A chordA E chordE
I could stand to do without, all the people I have left behind

What's the point in going around when it's a straight line baby,
E chordE
A chordA straight line down
C#m chordC#m A chordA E chordE C#m chordC#m A chordA E chordE
So let's make a list of who we need, it's not much if anything
C#m chordC#m A chordA E chordE C#m chordC#m
Let's make a list of who we need and we'll throw it away
B chordB A chordA E chordE
'Cause we don't need anyone, no we don't need anyone!

'Cause all this time is wasted on, well, everything I've done

Yeah something, I've just got to get myself over me, yeah.
A chordA E chordE
Over me, yeah, over me
