How To Play Blues Ukulele Part : The F Blues Scale

I noticed that there was a lack of blues ukulele lessons out there on the internet, soI decided to contribute my 'two cents'.
So first you should know some basic blues scales which are nothing more than the pentatonic minor scale with extra notes added just moved around the fretboard to play in
different keys.
For now we are just going to learn the F Blues Scale, it goes like this:
A|-----------6-8-|
E|-----6-7-8-----|
C|-5-8-----------|
G|---------------|
It can also be played like this:
A|-----1-2-3-6-8-|
E|-1-4-----------|
C|---------------|
G|---------------|
Try playing those a few times until you can play them without any mistakes at a decentspeed.
Now try playing this, it is a selection from "Cane Road Blues" by Abe Lagrimas Jr.:
F7 Bb7 F7
A--|2332332331-|1--3----|2332332331-|1-------| E--|----------4|--4-----|----------4|--41---4| C-0|-----------|--------|-----------|--------| G--|-----------|-------0|-----------|--------| Bb7 Bdim7 F7/C F7/Bb Am7(b5) Dm7(b9) A 45-45-45-58|[11]85---|2332332331-|1-------| E --6--6--6--|------7--|----------4|--41----| C -----------|--------0|-----------|-------0| G -----------|---------|-----------|--------| Gm7 C7 Eb E F Eb E F A ---0123|1-0-----| | | E -14----|-4-1--01| | | C 2------|----30--| | | G -------|--------| | |
After you can play this without error at a decent speed, try soloing over the chords
using the F Blues scale
If I get enough positive feedback on this lesson, then I might make a Part 2 or 3.
Thanks for reading!
Enjoy!
