Tuning a Ukulele By Ear
OH NO. Your ukulele is out of tune? You don't have a tuner! Using an online tuner isn't easy for you? Here's a suggestion: tune it by ear!
First, you don't need to have the C string tuned. It can be as high or low as you want.
To tune the G string, put your finger on the 7th fret of the C string and strum both and adjust to make sure they sound the same.
To tune the E string, put your finger on the 4th fret of the C string and again match.
To tune the A string, put your finger on the 5th fret of the A string and match.
If it still doesn't seem to sound right, try tuning the G string using the 5th fret of the C.
