some chords can be difficult for a beginner such as Eb and Bb! it can really prevent your playing if you have to pause a song to do a change of chords. Well there IS a trick on how to get better and it all boils down to one thing: Practice

of course you knew this already. but there are steps involved

  • start becoming very comfortable with simple chords (Am and C as example) get to the point where you don't have to look at them. get comfortable going back and forth with them
  • before playing the chord you have problems with, get an idea of what its supposed to sound like. that way you will know if its being done incorrectly.
  • slowly strum from an easy chord and do one finger at a time to the harder
  • change the order of the chords and grow faster while still looking.
  • eventually, it should become muscle memory. begin looking away when doing the chords

the trick is determination

for example, if you can go from the easy chord to the hard chord 10 times correctly in a row if becomes easyer

count how many times you can do it in a row until you can do it 10 times. if you mess up, start again

this may seem frustrating but it really is a helpful way to learn!
good luck!
