    Hey Guys,

So what do people do about B scales??? I'm still new (3 months) and therefore naive toward letting the uke speak to me.
I have a soprano uke (Makala MK-SD). I can get A#/Bb scales with a cheeky "13th fret" on the A string but I seem unable to run B scales within the octave. Any pearls of wisdom?

    Hi!
I don't see why you only get this problem on B scales, hundreds of scales have octave notes after 14th fret.
As you can see there exists many, many scales: http://www.ukulelescales.com/

Your problem is due to the gap between your fingers, so stretch your finger. The more you stretch your fingers the more elastic they become. With a little training you'll be able to play those higher notes. If it's too complicated (but it's just about training) you can still buy a cutaway uke.

It's not only a uke thing, you got that problem on acoustic guitars too.
