G chordG Bm chordBm
I'm so tired of being here
G chordG Bm chordBm
Suppressed by all my childish fears
G chordG
And if you have to leave
Bm chordBm
I wish that you would just leave
G chordG
Cause your presence still lingers here
Bm chordBm
And it won't leave me alone

Em chordEm Bm chordBm
These wounds won't seem to heal
Em chordEm Bm chordBm
This pain is just too real
Em chordEm Bm chordBm D chordD
There's just too much that time cannot erase

[CHORUS:]
Em chordEm C chordC D chordD Bm chordBm
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
Em chordEm C chordC D chordD Bm chordBm
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
Em chordEm C chordC D chordD Bm chordBm
I held your hand through all of these years
Em chordEm C chordC
But you still have
D chordD G chordG Bm chordBm G chordG Bm chordBm
All of me

G chordG Bm chordBm
You used to captivate me
By your resonating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

[Chorus]

C chordC Em chordEm D chordD C chordC
I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
Em chordEm Bm chordBm
But though you're still with me
C chordC D chordD Em chordEm C chordC D chordD Bm chordBm
I've been alone all along

[Chorus]

Transpose down -2 half steps, and put a capo on second fret if you're a beginner. It's easiest that way :)

Über dieses Lied

The most "Evanescent" song written by Ben Moody and (Vocals) performed by Amy Lee. Severeal versions, including a "Band-Version" containing "tutti" parts at its end where produced.
