if you want to do the intro like the real song just hold the G and then pick on the 2nd string close to you then 3rd then back to 2nd and finally 4th, do this two times and then lift your pointer finger and do the same thing

i think in the bridge, where luke sings "i'd hold you closer than i ever did before" (or something like that) sounds better G (instead of Am)

For the key that it's in, if you want to match how the song originally goes, put a capo on second
