For the first verse, do one down strum and then pluck the g string and for the rest of the song, do dduuDu. when you get to the part where it says "wherever, wherever " etc. ,you know what im talking about, then do the down pluck

For the slow strumming in the beginning I do one single down strum and then pick the C string once :)
