The song is played on a Fender Tenor ukulele not a soprano.

If you can read tab, which is quite simple after you look at a couple once you start learning, they mean the fret number to put your fingers on on certain strings.

The E chord sounds better if you hold the 4th fret on G, C, and E strings and 2nd fret on the A string...
