Ok, so we will start with the string names. -Hold the Ukulele in it's conventional position. -The string closest to you is G(string number4) -The next one down is the C(string number 3) -The next string down is E(sring number 2) -The furthest string away from you is the A(string number 1)

REMEMBERING THIS MAKES YOUR LIFE SO MUCH EASIER.

The 4 chords which will get you playing songs quickly are C,E,A,F and D. There are several different variations to give different sounds, but these will get you started.
