We continue the long awaited summer update with a new great new feature ! After the similar bands widget added some months ago, start from today you can now also get recommended songs when you view a tab !
Don’t stop browsing our exclusive archive once you found the tab you were looking for, discover new cool songs you might like !
We also reworked the top 3 tabs widget (on tab pages), now you don’t get 3 versions of a same song, but 3 different songs.
As you probably noticed, our “Learn how to play the ukulele” pages were abandonned for a very long time. If the main reason was because we prefered to focus on tab pages, it was also time to rework this area. Today, we’ve made many small changes to these pages. Here is what’s new :

We’re really happy to announce that one of the oldest ideas we had on our todo list has now been implemented on UT : an event calendar for uke players!
Don’t miss any workshop, concert, festival, trade show or jam session in your area ! This is a community calendar, which means that you can submit your own uke related events.
Want to attend an event ? Just tick the checkbox “I’m going” and see who wants to go there ! Of course, there’s also a filter by country if you only want to see what’s going on in your region, and a comment functionality to discuss about it.

nb. Events can be edited under ‘My contributions’ > ‘My Events’.
As announced a few hours ago, we opened a ukulele forum on UT.

It’s been a long time since we added new features on UT, but a lot happened behind the scene, and many new great options will pop on the website during the summer. We start this big update today by launching a real Forum on your favorite uke site !
As you know, until now, you could only visit our FB Group to discuss with other uke players ; and since FB removed the “forum” feature some months ago, it became a lot less useful for us. We’ve been working on it for a few months by now, so we really hope you’re all ready to participate and as excited as we are about the forums arrival!
The FB Group remain open, but we deeply encourage you to post all your questions on the forum. It’s by far more easier to find the information you need, interact with other members, etc. on a forum than on a FB page. Thank you!
There is a bridge between the site and the forum, which means that everything is synchronized. Remember that you can only manage your profile from the member area (on the site), your board preferences from your control panel (forum).

We start 2012 with a cool new feature, the handy Auto-Scroll functionality !
You’ll find this option on tab pages (see the picture on the left). Click a number to select a speed :
…and UT will scroll the tab for you !
This is probably the oldest idea we had on our todo list, we hope you will find it useful.

Since we launched UT, we never improved anything on our artist pages, and before today (if we except the nationalities and fans features added recently), you could only view a list of tabs. We now offer a lot more info and links to make your UT experience much more interesting.
Here is what’s new :
Please note that if you submit a new artist, it will now take around 5-10 seconds since a lot of queries are done in the background. Be patient.

As you can imagine, we worked really hard to load UT with these new features, now it’s time to relax. Enjoy !
Thanks to our new contest, we opened a new page : tabs by countries.
Nothing special to say about it, you can browse bands/artists by country (link next to the flag on artist pages).
